About Dr Research

Dr Research is based in County Durham and is a provider of all sorts of science activities.

Click on the links below to find out more about:

  • Science workshops for primary schools – aimed at KS1 and KS2 and linked to the national curriculum, these workshops and longer term activities will inspire and enthuse your pupils.
  • Sci Babies – science workshops for pre-schoolers and reception classes. These activities are aimed at 3-5 year olds (or there abouts) and are linked to the EYFS framework.
  • Educational resources – Dr Research has experience in creating resources for school (KS1-KS5 and Scottish CfE equivalent) and community groups. This includes toolkits, ideas for activities and activity boxes. More information can be found at previous projects.

Dr Research (also known as Jenny Search) is a scientist trained to PhD level and has been involved in science communication for over ten years. This is not a hobby or a sideline for me – encouraging people of all ages to be involved in science is a passion and is my sole profession. Previous organisations I have worked with include: The Royal Society, Durham University, NETPark (North East Technology Park), Teesside University, Durham County Council and Newcastle City Council.
